I am doing some research for a new book and I am looking to you lot to help me out.
I have a vague recollection (I wasn't very old at the time) at either the 1977 or 1978 cup final at Wembley a bloke climbed on to the crossbar at half-time and tried to do a striptease. Did this really happen, which final was it at and does anyone know what happened to the bloke that did it - or even better than that does anyone know who he was?
Any information on this would be great not least because if it is a figment of my imagination it is a bit worrying to have made this up in my head!

Widnes fan know as "Chopper" (Harris??? -although probably getting the surname mixed up with the ex-Chelsea player).

That's great, thanks. Given the link says he did this more than once, do you know if this was the 1977 Leeds v Widnes final or an earlier one - or indeed the 1979 Widnes v Wakey final?

I only remember him doing it the once (but I could easily have nipped out at half time of missed it pre-match). Not sure which year the picture was. I would guess v Saints or v Leeds but not sure.
