yes unless they have someone lined up I cant see the reasoning behind this really.as an outsider looking in franny has always acted with dignity whilst all the woes went on around him and to get the team 4 wins so far is as much as anyone else could have managed with the squad he has,its not his fault the club got 6 points docked and cant stay up now.
I hope it wont, and it shouldnt affect his career moving forward and wish him all the best.

Well, thats the full house I suppose. The bottom 4 teams have now all changed coach mid season. Welcome to the side-effects of relegation.
Franny had to go. When he's basically saying he's unable to motivate his players any more, that's a resignation letter in all but name.
He was dealt the crappiest of hands, and he's shown enough that he will be a good coach when he doesn't have to run about putting out fires every day.

Relegation or no relegation the teams at the bottom are always most likely to replace the man at the helm.
On yesterdays evidence that Bradford side have given up and on that form they will struggle to gain another win all season.

| I wonder how long F.C’s contract was for?
Wakey were lucky that Agar just quit, it could cost Bradford a few bob, but if a new coach can perform the great escape, it’ll be money well spent.

| Despicable decision.
The writing was on the wall after the Ferres outburst.
How could the coach possibly motivate the players a few days after the points decision when some of the players and their agents would have been making every effort to seek another club for 2015.
The players must have been demoralized. The final nail in the lid on the coffin.
Huge respect to Francis Cummins for the work he has been doing against the most incredible background.

Agreed
The guy has had to deal with more cr@p in 3 years than most coaches have in a life time.
Always dignified and doing an ok job with a shrinking squad and no cash.

| The term "fall guy" comes to mind here.
One thing that is for sure is that sacking FC has solved absolutely none of the bulls real problems.

| Tough circumstances yes but I think he's done a bad job. That team on paper should not be conceding 40+ points per match

| Leaves with huge respect from Bulls fans for the horrendus circumstances he coached in, but in truth, he had to go. The fight had completely gone from the team. Yes he has had to deal more in two years (while learning to be a head coach) than most coaches will have to deal in ther entire careers.
However a change was needed. The bulls fans have given the team standing ovations despite been hammered, but of late, the team haven't been putting up any sort of fight and it's left even the must optimistic/deluded fan deflated. Yes we have a small squad, but the players we do have, are so much better than what we have seen of late. Weve conceded nearly an average of 40 points a game!! We struggled to do the basics (passing, catching, tackling) Some of Cummins selections were infuriating at times. The famous "he's having to play Chev Walker at prop" line got thrown out a lot by the media. But the truth is he didn't have to play prop. Cummins played a lot of players out of position. Gaskell who is a stand off played full back, Addy who is a second rower played at stand off, he persisted with walker at prop and seemed to keep wanting to put a back on the bench.
Whoever comes in wont save us, but if the teams has a dig the fans will go home happy and they will applaud the team off. Unfortunately we haven't see any thing like fire, passion or pride from the team.
I wish Franny the very best, I'm sure he will become a good coach, and I hope he will be back in the game soon.

| Bull Mania, I think a lot of Salford fans understood on Sunday, exactly how you guys are feeling, your post sums it up well. As delighted as we were with our performance (what a stunning 1'st 20 minutes!) we can all remember the bad old days too - including many a thrashing by Bradford!
It was good to see all the Salford fans in the main stand applauding the Bradford players off.
