| Who do people think is the bigger and better region for our sport?
Which side of the Pennines has made the bigger contribution to Rugby League?

| Both sides of the divide have made excellent contributions to RL over the years so I'm not sure I could answer who is the biggest or best.
But I think I'm right in saying clubs West of the Pennines have been slightly more successful when it comes silverware.
My lot Widnes have made an big contribution to this over the decades (not so much recently of course). So much so that I only regard Wigan and St Helens as bigger clubs than us in all the teams West of the Pennines.

| i would say it could be an even split in terms of silverware, depending how far back you are willing to go.
in the early 20th century hunslet and huddersfield were both pretty apt at winning things.

| For the love of god just call it Yorkshire and Lancashire. I don't acknowledge any of these artificially gerrymandered counties!
And to answer your question, West side of the pennines (Yorkshire) as we invented the game.
Without the White Rose county, we're not even having this discussion!

simpsons/PDT13.gif Brad Fitler "If the ref's decision decides your game. You haven't done enough prior."
Referees are like women, they make snap decisions and never reverse them.
Littlerich wrote Widnes will be glad to get away from Leigh. They've been regularly pumped, roasted and left in the alley-way by the lobbygobblers. Talk about being bitched - what a torrid time they've had. They'll be looking for some A&E rest time for the next three years at least.:simpsons/PDT13.gif |

You need a geography lesson as WEST of the pennines is Lancashire

Warrington have won a respectable amount of silverware over the years, no less than Widnes.

warrington -34 major trophies ( championship/challenge cup/regal trophy/county league/county cup/premierships)
widnes-32 ( same criteria, although widnes have also won the national league title and national cup twice )
so by my reckoning warrington have won more major silverware than widnes

You've only been here a short time, so I'll put it straight for you. Stop feeding the troll. WidnesJohn doesn't engage in rational discussion, he is a p***k.
Just ignore him and he will go away.

| In terms of players it has to be the west, by a mile or ginnell or snicket or whatever you northerners call it.
