A) read the "new talent pool" rule in the rfl rules please - I think people have linked every ex league player ever to Salford after the doctors post - none of them are eligible for exemption and tomkins is no different

How do you know he's up to the cap limit? He could off-load some players, or sell 'em. If a player leaves by mutual consent, is that play-off counted onto the cap?

Yes, yes they are. Any pay off to a player counts on the cap. Koukash has stated many times he is spending up to the cap.

As for selling them - who on earth would pay a fee for players at Salford? Lower teams won't pay the inflated wages to take them off their hands, and higher teams won't have the cap space. There are only a few who I'd take at saints off Salford (and both of those are on loan)

Any Union signing will have to use the exemption.

As you say, players on "inflated wages", agreed, and ppl are wondering why B Noble was sacked. Sounds something similar to Malky Makay, who was sacked due to dodgy tranfers.

I think if you can loan them out for the season and it takes them off the quota like Jodie Broughton. So as long as the borrowing club is paying the wages there may be space in the cap.

I'd love to see Kyle Eastmond back playing RL, he'd be the one clubs should be targeting.

Its taken him years to even get to the point where he is making any sort of name for himself in RU, topped that off which is walking out after he got subbed vs sale and I think any chances of him coming back a limited until he's a post 30 looking for a final big pay out that some SL club will stupidly cough up.
