| One great outcome of this RLWC was the emergence of England RL as a brand. The players played with pride and the RL community got behind them. However one thing that REALLY grated on me was the England RL logo. To me it looks like something that might be better suited on the shirt of an EDL supporter not a world class athlete representing his country. Similarly the Mascot (the crusader knight) looks like something that the EDL youth wing would deploy on impoverished streets in search of young recruits!
EDL aside...In terms of a logo I'd sooner see something traditional and more professional looking. Does anyone agree / have any ideas??
NB: Not debating whether England should be playing as GB - as this is covered elsewhere....

I don't think it's too bad. We have to have to St George's flag as part of the logo. Just shame idiots at EDL have adopted that. But we shouldnt change for them idiots

| Sure I agree it could have the st george's flag (although notice not many other england sports teams do). But to me it just looks unprofessional....like indeed it could have been done by an EDL idiot!

| Dont think it is all that bad myself.Maybe could be tweaked a little. You need to stick with things for them to grow, chopping and changing all the time does little for development, we as RL fans should realise that more than most.
Where do we go anyway? three lions is football and Cricket and red rose England RU.Can't think of too many solutions TBH.

| Modern is good but the current one is lazy and obvious. I hate it, and the mascot. A knight crusader FFS! Both are so far away from representing a modern, progressive England it's untrue.

Why? Most other nations in the RLWC don't have the flag on the logo, and those that do are a bit more subtle.
The logo is pretty much the main reason I've not bought any England WC related gear this year (or any England stuff since it was introduced).

| I hate the logo, it looks amateurish and . The original England RL badge was fine, 3 lions against a St George cross.

| No reason why three lions can't be used.

My thinking being that this would demonstrate the strength and unity of the coming together of Yorkshire (white rose) and Lancashire (red rose) [from where, realistically, most England players will be drawn] for the greater good of England.
Anybody able to post mock ups of various ideas on here?

I see the logic in this and personally would like it HOWEVER it has northern connotations and whilst the domestic game for the foreseeable future will be seen as 'northern' the beauty of the international game is that anyone can get behind England RL whether your from Wigan or Weymouth because its England....We saw the beginnings of this on Saturday at wembley
Thus i think it would be better to do something more generic and inclusive.

| I agree with you 100%. Without being defensive, I think the 3 lions would be the key feature in my suggested logo. I was just explaining my thinking behind the roses. England RU use just a red rose but don't think people see this as representing just lancashire.

NB
An Aussie might tell you, "Stand up smurf". And he'd be right, England should be more English and Wales should be more Welsh, it's nothing to do with the colour of your skin but the language and how well you speak it.
The badge could be worse, it's orite, you should keep it. Besides IMO should be Europe.
