| NZ will be expecting to put more of the same as what they've done to date on England. To win, England need to nullify NZ's strengths and leave them wondering how they lost. NZ strengths? Big men getting a roll on then Luke and the three quarters exploiting a back peddling defence at speed.
Johnson for NZ (and Thurston for Aus) looked shaky and lacking confidence with goal kicking in the last matches (ony 50% success rate). If Sinfield can find his 90% success rate kicking boots, this could be the key to an England win. England can aim to control a slower and structured game by taking the two points EVERY TIME there is a penalty awarded within Sinfield's range. We'd expect to get the ball back every time from the re-start.
So, if Sinfield can have say three penalty shots in each half and with England getting a good set and kick away after each one, that's a lot of game time used up. If we can get a couple of tries in each half and Sinfield convert say three, that could be say 32 or 34 points. NZ would struggle to beat that in the remaining time and if the England defence is up to stopping any prolonged roll-on developing. Not to mention frustrating them. A red card for a frustrated Luke or SBW would help if our guys can stay disciplined.

| Let's hope his in play kicking is on song. Whenever they get in our half we need, long accurate kicks that go to ground away from their FB and wingers and a strong chase. Keep them turning, running backwards and trying to make hard yards way from their line. Keep them under pressure. Then bring on Rob Burrow for the last 20 minutes.

| It is significant, but you can't build a rugby league game strategy around goal kicking.
Tactical kicking? Absolutely. This is the key to us winning.

| Everyone keeps going in about the kiwis lack of discipline, we've conceded 3 more penalties than them in the tournament.
It doesn't make a difference if you concede a penalty for foul play or a technicality. The result is still the same, unless it is so bad the ref produces a card, which I highly doubt will happen.
While we may take 2 points, the kiwis might tap and score a try

If you also recommended stiff arming their half-backs, our players going down at any sniff of a high shot and then calling for a stretcher before winking and jumping off at the touchline, taking a drop goal every time we get within 25 yards of their posts then I'd be thinking you were an all-time great British half back!!! (Mind you it worked for him).

| Half the New Zealand tries (by Pritchard, Mannering or Luke, and SBW) will be scored close enough to the posts for Johnson to kick easily. The ones by Tuivasa-Sheck (2), Vatuvei or Nightingale, and Whare or Hoffman, will only require a 50% kicking accuracy for Johnson to nail 5 goals out of 7.
Coming on top of the 7 Kiwi tries that makes 38 points. How the hell to you expect England to score 39 points against New Zealand?

19 penalties and a drop goal by Super Kev by the sounds of it.

| When the Kiwi halfbacks leave the England "halfbacks" in their wake then the penny may drop.
If Widdop was there alongside say Burrow then perhaps it could be different.
This however is a team with a player who ends up doing more tackling than a lot of forwards alongside a non team playing individual who couldn't get a Toyota cup spot.
Heart says England to win. Reality says different.

Discovering the Internet really is the best thing to ever happen to you isn't it? I have a feeling you are one of those people who I try to avoid making eye contact with on public transport

We’re only interested in those in the bubble. Anyone who wants to come in the bubble, you can come in.
But you’ve got to keep believing.:86.jpg |

I wouldn't ever have Burrow starting for Leeds never mind England. He's a headless chicken, which is more use off the bench but he is no organiser.

| Best thing England can do is change it's half back pairing to Wddop and Burrow right before a do or die match against the kiwis!
I'll have what your having!

| We destroyed them last run out when they had benji at SO with this same Sinfield and Chase combination what makes everyone think this will be so much harder and by the sounds of some people nigh on impossible ?

| Sinfield is the reason we will lose, he is not a scrum half and until we get a proper 7 in that position we will not come close to beating NZ or Australia.
