| Got a feeling McNamara will go for Mcillorum simply due to size and tackling for the next game. Burrow is an excellent impact player but I think the nine jersey will be used in a manner similar to France in that Roby will be the impact player off the bench.
What we lose with the pace and guile of Burrow I reckon we gain in tackling with McIllorum who should provide some extra beef in those initial collisions and we do need to dominate the Kiwi pack or we will have no chance on Saturday.

| Why bring this up? Now we have to have page after page of dull comments from wannabe coaches. Both players have good and bad parts of their games. End of.

| Burrow for me. His pace and zip will genuinely frighten the Kiwis.
Mcclorum has aggression, but why would we try and get into a "hard hitting" contest against the kiwis. We have plenty of beef with Burgess, Graham, O'Loughkin etc
Mcclorum bounced off too many tackles and I just can see the kiwis winding him up and him costing cheap penalties.
Their big boys will love getting into a smashing contest with Mcclorum, they will not love seeing Burrow ducking and diving at them!

Why shouldn't I, or anyone else, have an opinion. It is a feckin message board and is used for this sort of thing. your posts on other threads seem to take the same dour approach to anyone having an opinion on a message board. Don't think you are a troll, just a tiresome person. Why do you bother commenting if you are just going to be a bore?
Reasonable question to ask others, I think, bearing in mind it may possibly be something McNamara is going to no doubt make such a decision.

| Burrow because he's very different to Roby, he's a little like Preston Campbell and always good for a few head shot penalties.

By different, you mean he scoots from DH every play, rather than [inearly[/i every play?

Maybe I should have ended my first post with a smiley face. Did you not spot the sense of irony?
So as you want and an opinion I will provide one.
Burrow is a great player, much maligned on these boards over the years and will offer invention and support play, and bring an edge to the ruck. But to much like Roby. he will give as ever 100% and will throw himself in front of anything and everything that comes near him! but will be criticised by people on here if he misses one tackle.
McM will tackle himself in to the ground, and offer good distribution as he always does, like a good old fashioned hooker. He will stand his ground and not take any nonsense he will give 100%. Like Burrow if he makes one missed tackle or one sloppy pass the people on this board will slag him off because they know no better than the end of their nose.
I suspect McNamara will not go with either of them and give Roby a full 80. I also think for what it is worth that Chase will be dropped and Widdop get a start. I think Ferres will be back in the starting line up.
I am not a troll, just fed up of the same people posting the same old . Club first and country second. This post just stirs it up again.
For what it is worth I am a big fan of both of these players, and for me Burrow is what is great about our game, a little bloke giving it to the big un's.

| Roby for 80 minutes, and both McClorum and Burrow no where near, both not at a standard of international when New Zealand and Australia around.
And while where at it Widdop no where near also, another over hyped not to the standard.

So many people moan on here about players being picked out of position. I am glad Mick is a one trick pony and not a hooker trying to be scrum half.
For what it is worth Burrow is a scrum half, and one trick pony to.

| You want Burrows on 10 minutes from the end of each half, and running at the oppos forwards when they are tired.

| If its a choice of those two then its burrow for me.Ther'll come a point when the England players start to tire and lose focus, this is when i'd bring him on to try to re-focus them by speeding the play up

| McIlorum is a massive fraud and a terrible player. The 'big defence' thing is just one of those things people say because Stevo said it once: more often than not he runs past the tackle or is bumped off by the defender.
