He was too much of a maverick and would have being disruptive in the camp. We have had a settled team and there is has been no instability in the team either on or off the pitch.
Danny would not have been able to develop a half back partnership and he has been lucky playing with Peter Wallace who has obviously being the Scottish player who has led the halves.
We did not need his goalkicking as we have the best in the tournament and all of our half backs have played brilliantly together no matter what combination i have tried.
Just look at his performance against New Zealand. if he was as good as some said then Scotland should have beaten NZ.
Instead they lost by 36 points and Danny did not even score.

This is all evidence in my mind that i am the best coach in the Northern Hemisphere and i i have done the right thing.

We have 3 more games left in the World cup and i am confident we will thrash France, New Zealand and then walk away with world cup glory "
