He's actually employed by the All England Club to run the show at Wimbledon. He got a bit lucky in getting the gig just as Murray hits his peak. Better to be lucky than good, although I actually think he is good. When he was at the LTA he struggled to overcome the problems that particular NGB had, and still has. They had precious little to do with Murray's win either.
