| If tomorrow the RFL came out and said next licence period two teams are going down and two are coming up, who would you pick.
For me, combining off field and on field Cas would be a shoe in to go (lack of new stadium, matches abandoned, bottom of table, personnel leaving etc etc) .
As for the other team as much as they show guts on the field at times it would have to be London for all the obvious reasons.
For coming up it would be between Fax, Fev and Toulose. The two strongest candidates from those three.
Thoughts?
PS - im not slating cas or london just giving an opinion.

| Another anti London thread this time at least slightly disguised
4 out of 10
I vote Wigan and Warrington out (both for disrespecting good sportsmanship by playing weak teams against Widnes and losing) with Oxford and Hemel coming up (because they play in Blue my fav colour)
Would you have preferred me to say London and Cas out with Fev and Fax up?

| How is it an anti london thread? Just because my opinion is london should go down?
Everyone else may disagree and want london to stay so what then?
In fact why would i bother to veil it if i just wanted to have a pop at london.
If i wanted to do that i would just start a topic of "London are a joke and should be removed so someone worthwhile can come up". Yet i didnt. Because thats not what the topic is about.
But fair enough the London fan wants London to stay up, and two successful clubs to go down to make way for two teams that play his favorite colour.
Duly noted, thanks for your overwhelmingly brilliant input.

| I'd start with clubs which have been financially mismanaged to the extent that they failed to pay their way and went into administration, owing hard working small businesses money which they will never see. However badly Cas & London are doing they still do the right thing and pay their debts, not that this seems to count for much in the eyes of the average RL fan.

off topic, but it was actually widnes fielding the under strength team against Warrington.

| Fair points about teams that have gone bust but if they are on their feet now and starting to improve have they not paid their dues to an extent with lost league points?
Also what if their were teams on the verge so to say? If you knew a club was likely to face financial trouble would you take pre-emptive action and drop them?

| If we were to abide by the franchise rules as they were originally set out Wakefield would have been demoted already- they scraped in by the skin of their teeth last time due to the demise of Crusaders, they haven't got the new stadium they promised and they went into administration due to financial mismanagement.
Cas should go as they also failed to deliver on their new stadium.
London should go because they were warned they must deliver on improved crowds but their support has actually deteriorated.
Bradford have gone into administration due to financial mismanagement so they should go.
The problem the RFL now have is because they have bent and twisted the rules so much that everyone now thinks they have a case to remain in SL. I would maintain however that since prudent financial management was at the heart of the franchise system those clubs which have been into administration committed the greatest transgressions and should be the ones to go. Whether or not this would benefit the game more than ditching Cas & London is a different matter.

| I do find it concerning that we are half way through the current license stage, and there is no announcement or plans for how teams are going to be promoted/demoted. The current license system is a mess and isn't fit for purpose. I hope we got go back to promotion & relegation but I can't see it.
