| Be interesting to see how this investment is possible when FN still owns Cas Tigers all of last years sponsorship money.

| Really good news for Fev, if it all comes off but, as Tigerade says, there have been similar ventures in the past and certainly Cas wouldn't say that they got very much out of their experience.
Also, even with an upgraded stadium, where will Fev get sufficient numbers of fans to sustain a move into SL.
Their best possible attendances would only be around the 6k mark and whilst this may be higher than a couple of the current SL clubs, it would not be sufficient to sustain SL long term.
They would need both Cas and Wakey to disappear to affect their crowd numbers significantly.
Having said that, there is no doubt that they have been the strongest club in the CC for a number of seasons and they have probably earned a shot at the big time.

Spot on. Plus, whilst any investment is obviously welcomed and I hope it works for Fev, a 6-figure investment isn't going to get a club anywhere close to being a top 6 side.

| They can pump hundreds of thousands or even millions in at Featherstone as far as I'm concerned. Good Luck to them. However, if the allegations of them having not paid CTRLFC are true then should we be looking at whether they are welcome for continued involvement in our sport?

I am inclined to agree, but as I recall the word from Cas on that was that it might not be financially viable to do that. I don't know why that would be the case. If Cas can't afford to go the legal route, surely the next step is to get the RFL involved?

Yep and you know that for certain do you.
I hope it all comes true - however I was at Cas a few years back when Mr Probiz was espousing his deep and never ending love for them. So I think they may have a point and I were you I 'd wait and see before getting too smug.

| They're not the best team outside SL. They choke.
Putting that aside, this is great news for Championship RL and if he puts his money where his mouth is and Fev reach the dizzy heights then it will be an example of what structured investment can do for a Championship club and may encourage others to invest in the same way instead of going for broke with a sickly SL club. I am heartily pleased with this news - so long as the guy follows through.

| Nahoobo is not to be trusted one iota. Every club he has become involved in has put up with his espousing his love for them, only for him to walk away (sometimes owing money). It seems that industry have already figured this out, Probiz have already been taken through the High Court by Williams Accountancy over "dishonest practise". However, sports clubs are so busy 'chasing the dream' that normal caution seems to be forgotten.
However, one does have to question why clubs are so eager to become involved with a business that is all about payment avoidance! Cas did nothing wrong or out of the ordinary, it's perfectly normal for a 2-year sponsorship deal to be paid in two parts, the mistake was believing that Nahoobo would pay. Steve Ferres has said he will be asking the RFL to become involved should the money not be forthcoming.
