| Feel there was no need for finch to slag super league off. I agree that there is some not very modern stadiums in super league but a lot of them will be improved and as well they are classic rugby stadiums which are nice to see from time to time IMO. Why should he have a right to drag super league down, i mean what do you expect when the weather over here is as bad as it is, the ground is bound to be a bit bad on surface. And as for the stadiums like craven park well the NRL have got a few stadiums that are not the most modern like Campbelltown Stadium [if they still use it] Leichhardt Oval, Penrith Stadium to name a few. Also cant believe that he turned down around 260,000 to stay at wigan which was so much more than melbourne are offering him now.
Which stadiums though does everyone think he is on about though?

| He's right though. Some of our grounds, while they retain their "character", are crumbling wrecks. I love the old grounds, I loved Central Park, Knowsley Road and The Willows - but some of them are well past their time.
Finch also goes on to big up the atmosphere, the fans, the songs, etc of SL. He's not slagging it off, just some of the crappy grounds.
I don't see anything wrong with his comments. He's entitled to an opinion.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

| Give me 10k at craven park over 25k at the soulless ANZ and any day of the week!
Shark park, Penrith, leichardt, dairy farmers, Campbeltown, brookvale. People in glass houses or what!

Why mention Craven Park in this. Our pitch is one of the best in the league whilst we are currently building a state of the art stand costing a total of £8m.

It doesnt say craven park does it? only another poster has and to be fair, none of the structure was up for the new stand whilst he was here playing, before that it was a poor ground with he south stand and crumbling golf stand!

brett finch is talking out the back of his head...
widnes -modern stadium - 4g pitch
wigan - modern stadium - pitch fine
warrigton - modern stadium - pitch fine
st helens - modern stadium - pitch fine
salford - modern stadium - pitch fine
london - modern stadium - pitch fine
huddersfield - modern stadium - pitch fine
hull fc - modern stadium - pitch ok..
hull kr - being redeveloped - pitch fine
catalan - being redeveloped - pitch fine
leeds - historic stadium, plans to upgrade south stand, pitch best in the universe....apparently
bradford -historic stadium, needs upgrading - pitch abit dodgy
wakefield & castleford are letting super league down at the minute..but both are actively seeking to change that....
so to summarize........brett finch is a knob
