people are unhappy because the last two regular seasons have been dismal.
people are, rightly, saying they will skip season tickets, pick there games, and turn up for the play offs.
frankly i havent enjoyed this season at all. some dreadful uninspiring games. only wolves and bulls at home were worth turning up for

If Leeds win the Grand Final then I don't think they'll be the only set of fans failing to turn up for the regular season. Why spend £200+ watching games that have little or no relevance on who wins the trophies? |

If any of us truly enjoyed the sport in and of itself. Friendly matches would have the same or equal attendance to that of any other. Most of us, I assume enjoy the sport <> in conjunction with the significance of the outcome. In fact, if the sport was only what we enjoyed, why would anyone bother setting up a competition in the first place - which is arguably what the RL haven't bothered to do with the first 27 weeks of the season anyway.

Exactly, I think we'll see a large number of people start to pick and choose their games because they're seen as meaningless.
Why not use the top 4 system in the RU Premiership? 1st v 4th 2nd v 3rd - GF. |

If that is the case the game is finished, I am astonished at some of the posts on here. How do you make every game a spectacle? even in the days of the top team in the league being champions & no play off's half the games were meaningless with most teams having no chance of winning or being realgated. You either support the game or you do not. I personaly watch 5 or 6 games a week live or TV, juniors in the park or super league. If people are not interested then as I say the game is finished.

You mean the one RL used for60 to 70 years you know, before RU even knew you couls have a league competition. |

The only complaints about the play-offs stem from the fact that Leeds keep winning them. If you want Leeds to stop winning in them then there are two things you can do to make whatever system we use irrelevant. Either your teams can beat Leeds throughout the season and leeds wont qualify, or they can beat them in the play-offs. Whatever system we have if Leeds keep winning the important games, they will keep winning trophies and GF appearances.
Wigan had a week off and were at home, Leeds played a bruising game in france the week before, and were away, realistically how much more of an advantage do you want? Leeds to only player with 11men on the field? a 10 point start? no subs?
