It depends. Some players have individual contracts with brands where they are paid to wear a certain boots. Other players have an agreement with a particular brand whereby they are given free boots to wear and then some brands have boot deals with a Super League club where they agree to supply a set amount of boots and/or trainers in return for some sort of sponsorship.
Generally I'd say Asics are the most popular at present, although I expect to see XBlades catch them up now they're in the UK as they're really popular in the NRL. Also think Kooga may have deals with a few players.
Sam Tomkins is sponsored by Nike. By all accounts he gets as many free pairs of boots/trainers as he wants as it's very cost efficient advertising for them.
