Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to have a running thread about all tv stuff? Would save lots of different threads appearing about Stevo, Sky and the BBC etc.

It appears that this year Brian Carney and Terry O'Connor will be doing Super League Extra Time. I wonder if that is from the stadium. If so, then Carney will feature most weeks on a Friday.

Does anyone know who will be doing Premier Sports' coverage?

Yeah basically they are doing the red button extra show from the stadium which has appeared on Fridays for three years now. It also looks like the red button bit will be repeated in the match replays later on as well. Personally I think Carney is totally wasted as a presenter.

I mentioned elsewhere, and on my tv page (rlwww.rugbyleagueontv.co.ukrl), that you can now Sky+ the Friday red button show by pressing "record" on the 10pm programme "Take It Like a Fan" - the option comes up. It was annoying that being at games you couldn't see the coaches interviews, so thats a good addition by Sky this year.


Dave Woods and Brian Noble will be the commentary team.

Do you know how the Monday night games will be presented? I would guess that it will be a 7.30pm or 7.45pm start for an 8pm kick off, but with the highlights show on Sunday in HD, is there a chance that Sky might do something similar to MNF on Sky with John Wells and Carney presenting? Bit hopeful I know, and I would guess that although the Sun show (to be presented by Bill Arthur) is down for HD, the non-Sky game highlights won't be.

I'm guessing Bill Arthur, Angela Powers and Barry McDermott will lose most from the lack of non-Super League coverage. Rod Studd appears to be full-time darts.

Hemmings, Stephenson, Clarke, McRae, Wells, Carney, O'Connor, McDermott, Powers, Studd, Arthur plus guest is a very big team for 2 games and 4 one-hour programmes

Looks like Premier sport will cut to a break after tries like they do in Aus for NRL
