Whilst I applaud your campaign to raise awareness as to the tiny amount of coverge TGG gets in the UK press, I still say that commerce will win every time.....soccer is No 1 and the only reason the other code gets a better look in is they have regular internationals.
If there was demand for good RL coverage, then the sport would receive it, but there is little to point to there being any financial incentive for the Media to cover League.

Definitely not helped when the Six Nations gets underway on the same weekend as the new SL season.

| Radio 5 Live have given decent coverage to the start of the SL season today - this morning, they had interviews with Kevin Sinfield, Joel Monaghan and Brett Finch and a fair bit of chat about the upcoming season.
I believe that they were told in a recent review that they should give more coverage to more minority sports, so we might get more of a look-in this year.

| "Before playing for England in the Four Nations final in November, Tomkins claimed that coming up against the great Billy Slater would give him some idea of his standing in the game"
Seems strange that this would be said seeing as Slater wasn't playing in the final
Good piece other than that though

| There has been more class and skill on show in the 2 televised Sky games than what will be seen in the whole 6 nations competition.

Although I agree with you, the Sky games this weekend could have been so much better and it really is a missed opportunity by the RFL. Widnes, Wakefield and Salford are not anyone's idea of play off teams and Cas are capable but will face a battle to make it. Out of all the fixtures this weekend they have picked the 2 weakest and a more than decent argument could be made for any of the others. New teams and new stadiums in themselves do not make great TV.
You would almost think there is a conspiracy on not to show up the dire 6 nations (and the England yawnion side delivered again) too much.

The 6 nations is almost becoming a semi static game now with the no of stoppages, perhaps sponsors see this as a good thing in that their product is getting plenty of exposure.
As for skill theres no comparison to league, yawnion can,t catch, can't pass, can,t see a supporting player, sometimes I watch it to see how novelty bad it is knowing that I will be watching a quicker more skilful game in league.
