Hi guys hoping for a bit of help on the point system on the Championship.

I think it was around two seasons ago a team or two teams finished on even points. I'm trying to find out how and why? As this is a question that comes up at Christmas and I always say I'll get the answer and I never bloody do!

Thanks in advance ! No doubt it's probably a simple answer and I'll get shot down in flames!

We have a bonus points system in the Championships

How Does it work though?

If you lose a game by 12 points ir less you earn 1 bonus point, its 2 for a draw and 3 for a win.

As many teams will have finished on odd points in the last three years as on even, so I can't see why there would be a question regarding this. It won't even be unusual in Super League as any team with a draw will finish on odd points. Has the OP ever looked at a league table before?

Here's some other Championship features for the uneducated:

Four quarters per match, games last 120 minutes.

There are no referees

The touch judges are all women

The scoreboards are edible

Teams turn up in the correct kit

The Champions are determined by a game of stickybellyflapcock on a cold October afternoon in Bognor Regis

Teams play with a square ball

One game per week is shown live on telly, none of the clubs receive any money for this

You forgot to mention the tv games, on Thursday nights against your biggest rivals meant loss of revenue through the turnstiles.

Still, at least richie and nige have negotiated us a better deal on britains top (premier?) sport channel!

Now now , Rich you know that isn't true , we receive the Co oP sponsorship money because of the TV deal , 5 grand per game , but we have to spend that on free tickets and marketing the game , which then bares the question , will we still have a sponsor now the TV deal has moved onto a lesser channel ?
