He is simply treading water in Union until he can get a gig back in Sydney. It will be interesting if Steve Hansen bothers picking him for the AB's in 2012. Everyone knows he's on his toes as soon as his ban is over.... |

Do the NRL need him? The NRL would look much better for telling him he can't play and to do-one. Let him negotiate with teams, let him ready himself to sign a contract and then publicly hold a press conference telling him he can't play.
Do to him what he did to the NRL and his club fans. The NRL doesn't need these players, they're in a position where they can take a hard line and dismiss him.
In saying that, do you put your pride above exposure? SBW playing in the NRL could help NZ League a bit.
