Should be enough on site free parking to accomodate the crowd - Morrisons now open and roundabout completed.
Parking on Parsonage Retail and Leigh Miners just a few hundred yards away as well

Be fine mate. Think there was about 1000 on last year? But that was in the snow and ice. Hope to push for a bit more tham that.

| A very competitive match with the Aussies running out winners at 22-20 , the English captain Bateman got the MOM , attendance just over 1,000
A most enjoyable game , but you could see the aussie traits of messing about at the PTB and lying on even at this level , the visitors out muscled the home team in the forwards and were more clinical when making breaks , the English were better out wide

Strange how people can see such differing things. I thought the pack, as a whole were outstanding, consistently gaining good yards in the tackle, especially both starting props.
It was the threequarters where we looked rather blunt

| 11,12,13 best for England.
With the AIS 7 we would have won by 30

Totally agree with the 11, 12 & 13 our best players! However we did get out muscled in the forwards! Oz made much more yards up the middle and knocked us back in defence a fair bit! We looked better when moving the ball through hands but did think our 3/4 line was pretty poor with some bad decisions made!
Was a good close game though!

| Anyone shed light on the reason we played 17 year olds against Australia's 18/19 year olds?

The entire team was all under 17's so that they could build a team for the tour down under next summer. Winning in Australia is the goal and the best way about going about that is to have as consistent team up until that point. Pointless having a team with ten 18 year old's in if they can't tour next summer.

| If these lads are all a year or two younger than the AIS, surely a 2 point loss is a good result?
