Am I missing it or does The Telegraph's Sport homepage not have a single reference to Rugby League today?

| ITV's coverage of the game on their news at 10 was shocking too, no mention of our Rugby League players defeating the reigning Four Nations and World Champions - especially on a day when there was only a handful of home nation Internationals and the FA Cup 1st round.

It wasnt a bad report until she got bored near the end and skimmed over Graham's try and omitted Tomkins' completely.

| What annoys me is the sub category sport headings they have on that site. UFC! Cycling! Fantasy Football! Before someone says they are more popular, you have them, surley have RL.

That is entirely symbolic of the [iTelegraph[/i's class-based attitude toward the sport.

| What still suprises me is that folk on here are still suprised. We could smash Australia next week & there would still be no recognition at all. The plain facts are that League is seen as having no value to the real powers in sport & by the real powers I mean the advertising executives who are the reason the press & broadcasting companies exist. We just dont fit the profile that they want to sell thier goods to that is the reason we get no coverage. The day we can sell out Wembly with people who will pay £50 for the cheapest tickets a buy new BMW & have £50k to spend on luxury goods then we will have the press all over us. Soccer is an exception as the sheer numbers make it worth while. Just look at the coverage Union is getting today, yesterday I had the choice of three live games, the reason is that they are watched by the kind of people who the avertisers are aiming at. We have will just have to carry on, but at least we know what we have & at least we dont have to pay £50 a ticket(& pray we can get one)

| And if you looked at Saturdays Telegraph they had a decent bit on the game itself. However in an article on the list of big sporting events over the next ten years in this country there was no mention of the 2013 RL World Cup. Criclet and RU however weren't omitted.
As expected really

| To be honest the international game has been a mess for years, and we can't expect that bad publicity to change overnight.
games like last week at Wembley (which had the most coverage for an England/GB game for years) and last nights great atmosphere at Hull are what will get the media/general public interested again...but it will take several years to make an impact.

| rlSlight difference here in prominence.rl
If you follow the main menu link, you'll also find a sub-section for the Four Nations.
rlAgain, equal prominence on the main sports menu.rl
rlGeneric 'rugby' menu link hererl
rlNo comparable 'main menu' hererl, but if you scroll down, equal prominence with RU.
rlEqual prominence on sidebar sports sub menu on main pagerl.
I can't access the [iTimes[/i, because it's pay-per-view.

2012 olympics in London, 2014 commonwealth's in Edinburgh, 2015 Rugby World cup and 2019 Cricket world cup.
