Three each from A and B, and one each from C and D.
The format of the knock outs hasn't been confirmed yet, I believe.

| Why do New Zealand get put with those nations? They are automatically through to the knock out stages.
England could well miss out. Fiji would more than give England a game, depending on who they have to choose from. With it being in England I can see them getting fewer NRL stars playing for them.

For England to miss out, you do realise they would have to pretty much lose every game? You know, since three go through...
So no, I very much doubt (in fact, I'd put everything I've ever owned on it) that they'd miss out.

The teams that will be in the groups have only just been fully decided, hence the thread I imagine.

| It's going to be a fantastic competition. OK, we can predict three of the four semi finalists... but whereas only 3 nations have won the RLWC, and only 4 have taken part in a final, in union only 4 nations have won, and only 5 have played in a final. So, in the greater scheme of things, there's not much difference.
Draw comfort from France being the only nation to make the final and not win.. in either code.

[quote="Saddened":15kig0eg]Pat Richards is poop. A typical, average, run of the mill NRL outside back. Nothing special at all. Like Barrett he is a myth. He is solid enough, he can catch, he can kick goals.[/quote:15kig0eg]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_7958.jpg |

There were decided months ago, the only two teams missing where the qualifiers and we knew which group the Euro qualifier would be in and which group the other qaulifier would be.

Samoa look lethal- I put together a list of eligible players on IRL. Hope they all want to represent them:

Yes, but the 2 teams which were missing have only just been confirmed, I think TS is just stating all of the teams who are taking part more than anything.
