After seeing the performance's against both France and Wales I personally would go along the lines of something like this:

1. Sam Tomkins
2. Ryan Hall
3. Jack Reed
4. Kirk Yeaman
5. Tom Briscoe

6. Gareth Widdop
7. Rangi Chase

8. James Graham
9. James Roby
10. Jamie Peacock
11. Gareth Ellis
12. Ben Westwood
13. Kevin Sinfield

14. Adrian Morley
15. Chris Heighington
16. Gareth Carvell
17. JJB / Jon Wilkin

I think the combination of Widdop and Chase towards the end looked very good whereas Chase and Sinfield, for me, didn't work as well. Chase and Widdop in the halves would mean then Australians would need to shut them down leaving possible gaps on the outside if England can exploit them. I would still have Sinfield in there however for his kicking game and to occasionally chip in at 2nd or 3rd pivot for distribution. I'd also like to see Carvell come in on the bench so we have another big prop to really get some good go forward if we can get on the front foot and have momentum behind us. As for JJB and Wilkin I don't think there is much between them at all and either one could get a call up.

Its a tough one. Out o the 2 halves its Chase who's looked the most disjointed but can we afford not to pick him?

The only definate change I would make is Carvell for Wilkin. I thought JJB did very well in the 2nd half.

I'd go with your team with JJB on the bench, not Wilkin.

Yeah I was leaning towards JJB more, he seemed to have a little more about him today. Made a good break to put pressure on the Welsh.

Think we posted our topics at the same time. But that would be my line-up as well. I didn't realise how weak we were from 17 -24. Ablett, Mcllroum, Mcguire. I would have had Danny Brough in ther eif he has been included icon_frustrated.gif

The main problem in picking an alternative team is the squad selection - it's bizarre and unbalanced. If we have even one injury in the backs we're struggle to put a side out.

An attempt (but not what I would have picked if the squad had been more balanced):

Tomkins

Hall
Widdop
Yeaman
Briscoe

McGuire
Chase

Graham
Roby
Bailey
Westwood
JJB
Sinfield

Ellis
Wilkin
Morley
Reed

Problem is no kicking game - so you have to have Sinfield in (although I suspect he won't be fit for next week with his jaw).

I would go with something like this too. Having sinfield in the pack makes us look light in the forwards.

Brett Finch has a had a good season, why don't we pick him? Matt King would be a good call in the centre too. I'd like to see Thomas Leuluai on the bench as well to interchange with Roby.

I'd line up behind the posts thus conserving energy for the game against Kiwi's. On today's evidence we'll spend most of our time there anyway.

Have seen a few Wakefield fans make this sort of post. It's strange, because they seem happy to see their club sign turd-class Aussies season after season.

i cant see carvell coming in now it would be daft he wont be match sharp stupid not play him from the beging not even in the knights games? widdop is natural 6 sinfields not he trys to much and doesn't look comfortable on the ball he looks rushed. and ronald is a play maker also so its not going to work and ronald is a better play maker the majority of the time so 6.widdop 7.ronald.
