| IMO you have to question the scheduling of the semi-finals too.
Right at the start of the school holidays when a lot of people will have already made plans to be away is daft, they need to be mid-July

| aim low, and that is the best you will get
two sell outs would represent small crowds for these fixtures in my opinion

| My problem is with the ticket prices and the marketing.
We should be moving these games to huge stadiums and having cheap tickets but marketing them well.

Same happened in 2008 when Wakefield and Hull failed to sell it out after bleating for weeks about how small it was. Best thing was some Wakey fans, being that is was the 1st semi we'd been to since 1979, moaning they wouldn't go because they couldn't sit next to their mates!

| I don't think there was ever any moaning about the venue for the Saints game. We were just sick of playing at the Galpharm every year so wanted somewhere this side of the border.
At £28 it was never going to sell out quickly was it? If it were, as mentioned above, at Man City for £10 entry, you'd have three times as many going.
I think next year the venues could be a lot more obvious. Saints new pad will be open and all shiny and new and accomodates 18,000. That is fine for anything other than the hugest of huge semi finals. Other one at Huddersfield or Warrington depending on who the teams involved were.

| Huddersfield is far to big for any semi final in Yorkshire with the crowds people are currently drawing.

Not really if they priced it appropriately. There have been plenty of adequately attended semis there in recent years.

Yet sold out a 25,000 seater on Good Friday.
Can you guess which game didn't involve the RFL for marketing, or ticket sales?

| Yeah the prices are ridiculous. I was run moaning about the venue been too small. But i guess i was wrong. It's stupid having the quarters, semis and final all in space of 5 week. Plus it's the holiday season. Not making excuses, just can see why the attendances aren't as high as they should be.

Yes ,but that was when the Bradford - Leeds game was the big one, other than that i would disagree.

| Final prices are just as bad.
Totally wrong timing. 2 weeks between QF & SF, both of which are extra expense on one months wage.

I think the big problem is that clubs have a fortnight to sell semi final tickets, and then final tickets on sale within 48 hours of the semi's. With no concessions for the final I think it's only to be expected that those with families etc may have little choice but to sacrifice going to the semi's and watch it on telly instead so that they can save money for the final.
