| The United Kingdom won the bid and Northern Ireland play under the banner of Ireland. Similar to when the BBC show Ireland rugby union games.

yeah i'm torn with this I would love to see games played in these areas as it boosts the development of the game but would rather they stayed in the UK as it was a UK world cup bid.
Maybe France & Ireland could bid next time.

| What was the point of having "England + Wales" on the tournament poster then? What does it say about Rugby League fans that we can't possible get a good crowd from the host nations for the pinnacle of the sport?
Why stop there? Let's go the whole hog and have games in Australia, Lebanon and Jamaica too.

| personally before the it was launched ect i would of had games in england, france and wales at the moment ireland and scotland dont deserve to have games because both these countries dont have the structures ect in place where as obviously wales and france do. for scotland and ireland we need to improve the grass roots, structures just like wales did about 7 8 years ago and then work towards getting a team in champ 1 and go from there.
hopefully bristol get a group game should do anyway and can see brammel lane been an semi final stadium.

| its funny beacouse Ireland could have beat france if they played in the 08rlwc and Scotland beat Fiji and Fiji beat France something like 50-0 and they both beat Wales in the 07rlwc Qualifyers if they had those teams going into the last European cup they could have been in the 4 Nations already they already deserve a 3rd division team and a 2013rlwc game if that they have very skillful players that just need to lern the bits they dont no if an Australian or New Zealander was to go over and teach them those type of things imagine what they could do
