| I was searching the website which must not be named, and I came across a few videos claiming to be the best tackle ever!!!!
From my own point of view the best tackle I ever saw was Jarrod McCracken cleaning out Dean bell, but the was seen as a child so it's quite hazy. from recent memory it's the KC tackle on Smith for Wigan, were KC stops smith from grounding the ball all in one movement.
Another one that springs to mind is the Tallis drag on Hodgson in SOO.
These are a few that stand out, not to mention the Leuleui hit on faasavalu aswell.
Any other great tackles that stand out, not so much big hits, otherwise this will be a Sonny Bill Williams thread!!!!

| Radlinski in the 2002 Cup Final made an absolute belter to save a try, even more impressive considering the size of his foot that day.
Also stopped a Cunningham try with his feet.

| I'll be the first Northern fan to say Lionel Williamson on Trevor Lake.
How good? The game was more than 40 years ago but I am sure I will not be the only Northern fan to put this tackle as the greatest ever.

| Simply for the David vs Goliath imagery, I would say Dave Halley vs Feka during a Bradford Vs Wigan game at Odsal a couple of years back. Halley is the last man, plants his feet and stops Feka dead in his tracks.

Sam Burgess in a game against the Panthers.

| Makali Aizue on Scott Wheelden (then Hull FC). Go on youtube and type Hull KR tackle of 2008. Saying that Aizue pulled one of these off every other game for us!!

| Des Drummond on Steve Hubbard at Craven Park in the 81-82 CC game!
He came from the opposite wing to hit the big lad with a diving tackle a couple of yards out and take him into touch.
I still don't know how he got there - awesome!

Highscoring.
Briscoe on Fox was a great tackle, although I do think Rovers should have scored before the ball even went to Fox.
Murrell on Fitzgibbon at the KC, Aizue on Wheeldon, Lynton Stott on Salford player (Maybe littler).
Worst/dirtiest one is Newton on Aston Sims.

| Without a doubt Tom Briscoe's on Fox takes some beating - the determination and technique he used was absolutely faultless.
As another Robin has mentioned Lynton Stott pulled off a beauty on a Salford player. Just to add to it, it was the 2003 season, IIRC we were on course to finish 4th whilst Salford had already clinched the Minor Premiership (and would go on to win the GF). It was the dying seconds of the game with us winning by either 1 or 2 points. Salford break away down the left and it looked a certain try, Stott desperately lunged at the player, angle-tapped up, bringing the guy to the ground and the impact knocking the ball free, with what must have been inches from the line. Absolutely fantastic, and moments later the hooter went to give us a great win.
There's one on that popular video site in the NRL where Gordon Tallis literally throws a guy around like a rag doll in the process of forcing him into touch.
