| 1 - You are allowed to spend £1.9m.
2 - There is a 50% exemption for 1 player who has been at the club 10 years
3 - The above 2 need not apply if your club name begins with 'Wigan'.

Not really true. Warrington's success has been centred around paying their Aussie players with Take That appearances rather than money.
Matt King is paid £19,999 plus a private show by Take That once a year. The going rate for private parties is £500,000 so he's making a killing. Wire only include £40 on the salary cap as that is technically the price of a ticket to a Take That show.

When they introduce the franchise system, team were in a much secure position due to no relegation and a super league spot guaranteed for 3 years, they felt the 50% of you income rule was not needed anymore as it was only there to stop teams breaking the bank to keep themselfs in super league.

| It was before the franchise system the 50% rule was in place.
And I'm pretty sure it's £1.65m for your squad of 25, and £50k thereafter for your young players or something on them lines.

The 50% rule was removed to allow clubs like Wakefield the luxury of employing someone to drive nails into their own coffin.

| There are lots of rules especially regarding things like appearance bonuses and win bonuses etc but the main points are:
- A club may spend £1.65m on it's "First Tier Players". Which are the 25 highest paid players at the club (not necessarily squad numbers 1-25).
- A club may spend £50,000 on it's "Second Tier Players. Which are players outside the "First Tier" (ie not in the 25 highest paid players at the club) who play at least 1 game in the season.
- 50% of any players qualifying for the "Long Service Concession" (ie played at the club for 10 years) may be exempt from the salary cap, up to a maximum of £50,000 per club.
- £50,000 of 1 homegrown players' salary may be exempt from the salary cap
- Prize money, International bonuses & non-salary cap relevant match bonuses/payments (eg cross-code challenges, Middlesex 7's etc) are not included on the salary cap.
