They're runners-up medals, not losers medals.
If you got silver at the Olympics, would you sell it because it wasn't a gold? I know I wouldn't. 2nd is still an achievement.

Bit different - coming 2nd at the Olympics is a brilliant individual achievement.
Losing a final when you all as a team were so desperate to win is very different - especially for a team with so much recent success that they know they could have won. |
