The newly created IRL Israel Rugby League are looking at introducing the code into the state of Israel.

We are aware that the game is becoming pretty well established in nearby Lebanon, and hope one day we can have a "Peace Game" with our neighbouring country if Danny Kazandijan is willing.

The Israeli RU are very keen to embrace the 13 man game, with many of the IDF soldiers keen to get an Army team going. Obviously many do not have any RL experience.

Tel Aviv and Jerusalem Lions would be willing to allow RL be played on their pitches during the summer (evening games).

We hope to get recognition from both the Israel government and the RLEF.

Israel Rugby League

I have an email from RFL chairman Richard Lewis who says he is giving us his support and wishes us all the best. Its a matter now of getting the Israeli government to recognize us as a separate code to rugby.

Any idea when the clubs will be formed? Has any rugby league league bee played in Israel yet?

Not sure, negotiations are still on going but some has been played in the West Bank thanks to some connections with Lebanon.

I really think the Lebanese RL should be approched for advice and maybe some coaching. Once you get a competition organised and maybe get your first season out of the way, I'd be looking at getting support from RLEF and RLIF.

Easy tiger. To be fair to tb (I feel dizzy already) there are legions of fantasists in the rugby league world and I personally have seen many people jump the gun before; Netherlands, Italy, Malta, Portugal...
Like I said to you before, all the best for Israeli rugby league and I genuinely hope it manages to take off and becomes a success.

No. I merely asked whether there was in fact an Israel Rugby League organisation, or anything more than one poster in Perth.

Oh – and the other thing I'm aware of is posters who have been banned before and the reasons for their bans. Including people from WA. You've got me intrigued now. Especially given that over reaction to a simple and genuine question.

To be fair, it is a valid topic and shouldn't be locked. For one, i'm interested to hear about the Israeli development, just like I was the Italian and USA leagues.

I joined to promote TGG in a country where the game could flourish. Don't be so paranoid. Sorry to hear about the banned poster in WA, there are 2 million people here tb.
