| Not many words (a 4 hour read at best) and the bloke is clearly a wasted talent; how good could he have been with some real dedication?
But I have to admit I laughed out loud with the story about the turd. I must be as childish as Longy. My two lads 8 and 11 were asking me why I was laughing, but that just made it worse.

Radlinski and Jason Robinsons. Both quality books.

| I'd rather read 'iggle piggle loses his blanket' for the 500000th time with my daughter than read Jason Robertsons book! What's it called? 'I was good until teams worked me out, i got smashed, found god, went soft and then went to Union'?

Stanley Gene's biography is certainly the best RL biography I have read. Very funny and he has such an amazing story to tell. Would recommend it to anyone. You don't have to have supported any of the teams he has played for to enjoy it.

Like Terry Newton I refuse to name names.
However one of the top players in this country is/was a ‘waster’. ‘Waster’ as in drinking a lot of booze and loving it.
With talented players like Sean Long I don’t believe that booze comes into it. He’s just naturally talented and just needed to keep up with his ability of which is ok if you exercise that ability enough.
I think the point your trying to get at is if Sean Long was a tee-total goody we could of seen more upsets against Australia over the years. However that hasn’t been the case and Sean Long has achieved a heck of a lot in life. He’s very happy and that’s what truly matters doesn’t it?
Everything is half chance and I believe more often than not Sean Long has taken the right chances. His awards show you just that.

Barries is a really good read, but as a leeds fan i was a bit disapointed that it stops midway through 2004, when that season was the pinnacle of his leeds career. should definitely be worth a chapter or two.

| As others have said: Barrie Mac's and Radlinski's are both worth a read. Apparently Wayne Bennett's "Don't die with the music in you" is a good one.
Oh, and at all you Robinsons haters.
