| I'm quite interested to hear how the British lads are getting on in the NRL. Obviously, there's no covereage over here in the UK yet.
So, we have Burgess, Ellis, Flanagan and Widdop.
After three rounds, how are they getting on? Burgess I believe has a try to his name? Has Ellis carried on his 2009 form? Have Flanagan & Widdop made an appearance yet, and is not, how likely are they to feature anytime soon?

| Ellis is as good as he was last year. Burgess still to hit top form but glimpses of what's to come. Flannigan's surprised me, he looks a very good player and again will get better as he adjusts to faster defences, had a hand in a cracker try last week. Not sure of Widdop.

| If you listen to people who know what they're talking about. then Ellis is doing well, and Burgess is still settling in but shows signs of being a success.
If you listen to the likes of Silly Dilly then they're c**p.

Come on, one thing dally does do is support the game and support people from outside Australia coming over and playing, I haven't seen him run down any of the brits that are out here.
Matter of fact, all I've seen from him talking about those 4 is praise.
They are all doing well, we know how good Ellis and Burgess are, but Flannigan is the one that has surprised everyone, he's going very well without the hype.
Young widdop has shown in the u20's hes has some talent, all he needs to do is get a 1st grade spot, bit hard to though at the Storm seeing as billy the cat is there, but if they don't give him a go soon, I can see a heap of teams trying to sign him up.
I'd love to see a few more come out, it helps in regards to the myths other people from other sports continually lie about.
A few more poms and a couple of French would be very good.

| Flanagan has surprised me.
He really only got a chance with Fulton being out injured but he stepped up big time. Great offload to Benji for a try, tackled his off too.

He'll remain in 1st all year now barring injury, good player.
The extent of his coaching is ''BASH EM, JUST F*CKING BASH EM. HE'S LOW ON CONFIDENCE, BASH HIM''
He's a limited coach that won't last long term.[/quote:8f22o6ue]
....
That would make Wigan strong favourites then. With Ratchford at FB and Patton with Cronk in the halves, I think we'll do very well without Sam.[/quote:8f22o6ue]: |

| good to hear that flash is doing well. struggled to break into the wigan side last season, but showed that he could be a very good player.
if he had stayed with wigan i could really see him struggling to get into the side again, with the quick rise of Lee Mossop. it would be good to see how Mossop and Joel Tomkins would get on in the NRL, not to mention Joels little brother Sam.
from what i have heard, if flash is ever to come back to Super League Wigan have first choice on him, could be a future path for the best young english players, to get a couple of years playing in the NRL, even if they dont play many games, then to come back to SL.

| post deleted due to unclear instructions about links which are and are not allowed on this forum. Apologies, but I dont want to break any rules. Are we allowed to send fans to the list that is on Wigan flfans home page which lists NRL games available on the interweb in UK?

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| Widdop needs to see first-grade pretty soon. Barring injury to Slater, we all know he's not going to do that at Melbourne. Yeah, he might jag a few games over Origin, but there's no hope of displacing Slater after that, so I think he needs to find another club. I don't know how long he's contracted to Melbourne for, but he's got to show himself in the NRL quick, as there's already a few [iyounger[/i fullbacks who've come through who i'd rate better than him. Fullback in the NRL is too competitive to come into at 23/24 years old.
