I am doing a study for my dissertation, and was looking to see if you would be able give me some responses.
The survey is to find out if there is a difference in the perception of aggression and violence between Rugby league and Rugby Union supporters. Before the survey, the literate I have discussed has looked at the social class of rugby union and Rugby league supporters. From the literature, I am trying to find out if the two types of supporters perceive aggression and violence differently on a rugby field.
I'm looking to get around 300 responses (150 from league and 150 from union supporters would be ideal), so if you could all fill my questionnaire in, it would be greatly appreciated.

Why?
Are you writing about which fans would more likely cause trouble in a sports centre?

| Quote: Invincible "Thankyou. In just under 6 hours of putting this up, I have had a 128 responses to the survey, which I think is superb tbh.
Also, got some gem of some answers.
One of the best one being a response to a word or phrase assosiated with "middle class".
The reply was "some grafter the Government tts on"
Well good luck with it Rich anyway.

| Sorry, I too did not complete it. The questions were too simplistic in nature... by the time you get to my age you realise that life is rarely so black and white!

The problem is, they have to be quite simple in order to gather the quantitative data together to get a fair representation of views.
I will be collecting qualitative research in the form a of an internet style based interview, which will be 4 or 5 questions with about 5 or 6 people giving their detailed views on the topic matter. I will ask later on after collecting these results, but you're more than welcome to give your views in the form of the interview if you would like, where you don't out have to give out such "simplistic answers". The same goes to anyone who wants to expand on their answers given in the questionnaire and I will PM you in a week or so.
Thanks.

| I'll fill in the survey for you. But I'd be a bit careful about the class assumptions involved here. I've worked as a lecturer in Universities in the North for six years, and have found far more RL supporters amongst the lecturing staff than RU for instance. Historically, you have to look at grounds like Saints, Cas and Wakey. Who were the people who sat in the small main stands. They were the reletively small middle class of businessmen when economic class distinctions were easier. In modern stadia, some with all seating, people mix more easily, just as in modern society. Thus the class divisions are harder to sustain.
Another problem these assumptions might encounter (although this in itself is a class based assumption) is that the literature on Welsh RU tends to portray it as a far more working class than middle class sport.

| Completed........although some of my answers are only part truths.
In a world with many shades of grey; then black or white answers can't tell the whole picture.
