We all know how Murdoch has ruined journalism and I’m wondering if he’s trying to ruin our great game as well. Whilst he injected a lot of money into rugby league is it really worth it?

After all Eddie and Stevo are often slated on here for not knowing what they talking about. Heck even a friend of a friend who doesn’t watch rugby league at all even pointed out these two don’t have a clue.

Now Murdoch has turned newspapers into opinion papers over here and news channels in America into infotainment. Personally I think he’s done something similar with rugby league commentary. Still I’d rather listen to these two than anything put on by the BBC commentary team on TV. But its so wrong.

After listening to Sid Wadell and Nigel Pearson on the Darts this last fortnight I have to say that Eddie & Stevo are Premier League in comparison to their Blue Square North League.

Evidence that we shouldn't complain when it comes to our commentary team from Sky.

A lot of people think Andy Grey doesn't know what he is talking about in football, so in comparison E&S aren't doing a bad job.

Eddie and Stevo do a great job.

One of the problems that they face though is that they are overwhelmingly the voices of RL on Sky. They are talking virtually non-stop for two games a week, every week, throughout the season. When you're talking that much, it is absolutely impossible not to slip up.

I do have small issues with Stevo, he seems to see what he wants to see and refuses to see what actually happens even when it's replayed time and time again, but they are small issues.

If Rupert Murdoch was trying to screw RL the best thing he could do is introduce a Fanzone system to Sky's coverage, and appoint a youtube wannabe comedian as the regular Rhinos fan.

I wouldn't watch half as many Super League games as I do if Eddie and Stevo weren't commentating. Legends of the sport.

I think they're great and come across really passionate about the sport. I feel were lucky to have commentators with character and personality, imagine our game being described by those posh upper class mono toned s that comentate on Rah Rah. I dont know whats more boring them or the game. Then on the Beeb we have Mr every try is a defensive mistake Johnathan Davies he has to be the most negative comentator out there, Ill give Dave Woods praise he's really good, but for me Eddie and Stevo are up there with the best!

Dave Woods is very good IMO
