You pay $5000, thats about 3 pounds, and you get a warm VB, a sheet of corrugated iron to sleep under and, and, and, and, you get to listen to every game on a real life radio.

Going Independently it'll cost you half the price of a "named" tour.
Either book a hotel or if there's a few of you an apartment. That does come cheap.
Or, as League Freak suggests, sell your Ford Cortina and rent a five bedroomed mansion on Sydney's Northern Beaches area for the same money.

Look, the exchange rates are good.
Book early and you'll get good ticket.
Do a bit of research and you'll find a good hotel at a good price and be able to set your own timetable.
