| Sorry if this is old hat, as I am new to this forum...
How many of you believe there will ever be promotion/relegation again in English RL?
People may well argue that it is boring not having them, but isn't the last thing we want to see is two teams see-swaing up and down every year?
In my opinion there is a clear bottom two clubs in super league which i feel may be omitted to raise the profile and competetiveness of the championship, while at the same time the SL will be devoid of whipping boys and could be condensed into teams playing eachother 3 times in a season (More games & Money)
anybody agree?

In this PC world of ours winning isn't anything!
It's how clean your bogs are and how to sit down!
Plus an attempt to "educate".
Nothing to do with PLAYING the game though!

| Promotion and relegation still exists, it's just that it isn't solely decided by on field performance, which sort of makes a mockery of some of the arguments against P & R in terms of the relegated team(s). It's not now a yearly issue but clubs face exactly the same problems as they did under the previous system, only now it's every three years and possibly even more devastating to the relegated club(s) because it will be at least three years before they can hope to make it back to SL.
No one will know the full ramifications of the licensing experiment until we've seen clubs booted out. It will be interesting to see if there are negative consequences for promoted teams too. If a club is struggling off and on field they're pretty much stuck for three years, that could be disasterous.

| The winner of the league below Superleague (sorry havent got a clue what its called as I'm not a big fan of British footy) should play whoever finished bottom of Superleague.
The winner either gets promoted from that league or stays in SL if they manage to beat the lower side.
This is a fantastic idea.
Winner takes all.
Or loses all if you are the SL club.

| In the Championship you can go down but not up I'm willing to give franchising a chance and I suppose it makes sense really to keep P&R for other leagues. It just seems odd that a league where the only way is down ISN'T the top league.

| Unless a lot of money was ploughed into the Championship it wont become competitive.
SL will become 2 conferences and the teams left in the Championship will have no interest in SL anyway

Unfortunatley we dont have more than 6/7 actual Super clubs in Super league , but we are trying to have 14
I'd rather see a SL of 10 and a strnger division below it pushing the bottom clubs in it
But that would be admitting where we are and the RFL dont do ' negative ' even if it is plain to see
Answer to original question , NO , as long as the RFL are trying to expend the game by putting very weak clubs into SL we cannot have P and R , so it will never come back

They used to do that between NL1 and NL2. Top team always won I think.

Its an idea used in some football league such as the irish league, the top team usually does win but they are very tight contests with alot on the line for both teams. Not sure if they'd be as close a contest in rugby league though.

| I would chuck the bottom 2 SL sides into the championship finals series.
Top 6 in Championship
Bottom SL seeded 8th and 2nd bottom SL seeded 4th.
It would be an interesting yardstick for the existing and prospective SL clubs in the championship in all sorts of ways e.g Performance, Crowds etc

| £1.7million salary cap v £400,000 salary cap (which is supposed to be reducing as well) would hardly be fair would it? if there was no such thing as salary cap, it might give a fairer reflection of which clubs might compete in SL. Then again the fact that the SL club is given nearly a million a year also would make it an unfair contest.
Decent idea in principle but too many factors in the SL clubs favour to make it worthwhile. As far as I am aware since the start of SL, there have been over 150 SL v non SL ties in the challenge cup. The SL teams have won all but 8, and I can't remember any of those loses coming in the past few years.
