Players don't get banned by how long the player they injured is out for.

It was wrong and was a cheap shot but I doubt he will get more than 2 games.

If it is season ending injury the punishment has to go towards reflecting thatI cannot see Cunningham getting away with less than 3 games
otherwise players could go out to maim other players in the hope that they then will not have to play them at a later date

what happens if a player does really really bad high tackle and totally cleans someone out but the player is fit to play following week?
