In the article it says that David Gallop (NRL Boss) had visited the team to underline how important the game was. They have been in training every day at 9.30am and are taking this game very seriously. They are even taking the Quins game seriously

Every single year, the Aussies claim they're not taking the WCC seriously, and every year, post-match, the Aussies look angry and demoralised when the British side tear them apart. They usually follow this up with a load of excuses.

Now the following is absolute fact - Australian sportsmen would not bother themselves with travelling to the other side of the world to play a rugby league game if they did not aim to win it, especially as they claim to play too many games as it is. Aussies do not like to lose at anything, and certainly not RL.

You can be absolutely assured that, especially seeing the Aussie sides have been embarrassed by the British year after year, that Manly will be taking this match completely seriously, and might even give Leeds a game.

With the Glut of top quality English refs at the moment, who's reffing this game?

What may happen, is 6 players will get to sit the game out, or they may have unlimited interchanges during the game and use everyone, but a rookie side it won't be.

What you actualy did was cut and paste a link from a pretty lazy piece of Journalism that pointed out, incorrectly, that Manly would field a Rookie side, when in actual fact, at least 7 of the side that will play against Harlequins will also play against Leeds.

no hang ups here pal, just a little bit puzzled as to why Manly would request the warm up game, then request it was moved to give them more time to aclimatise after arriving last Sunday....and then put out a "rookie" team?
I still say that all 23 will get a run out on Sunday with the second half seeing a few fringe players getting most of the game time. It is in their interest to do so, otherwise they may as well have just flown straight to leeds and "trained" for 2 weeks.
