I hope the person who had a medical emergency in the Revie North Stand just before kick off is ok. Some people were saying it was a heart attack but I’m not sure if this is correct. If anyone has an update on his condition please post, hopefully he’s ok.

Makinson was absolutely fine and one of England’s best players. If there’s a winger that should be dropped next year, it’s McGillvary. He’s had a very average year and doesn’t really do a lot apart from run it in. I’ve never really understood what’s so good about him. He’s had a poor series as well.

Maybe we would but none of us will ever know



This was an ideal chance to blood a couple of new players and see if they really could make their mark at top International
level but Bennett chose not to go down that route.
Did Myler play today ? he was fecking anonymous and both McGillvery and Makinson were left chasing shadows, especially McGillvery who has been bang average this series.
Mind you, with the pack that we had,, the game was lost before a ball was kicked/passed and our second 40 was as bad as we've put in in a long time.

Very disturbing scenes. Agree though, really hope he's ok.

Whats worrying is that half of this team won't be playing in the 2021 world cup and Bennett has not really brought any young players through. Bennett also talked last week about England having strength in depth but we are nowhere near the quality of Oz and NZ.

that's only because if he had lifted the shield he would of been deemed fit for work

As most Wigan fans would agree, George Williams has a very good short kicking game, but a very ordinary long kicking game. So naturally I assumed Myler would be doing most of the kicking. But no! It was mostly left to Williams, And of course, when you're up against one of the best kickers in the game in Shaun Johnson, the comparison is bound to be telling. That said, Williams was otherwise pretty good, and he defended well as he always does, often against Johnson, which is a nightmare for any defender. And good as his g0-forward is, McGillvary really doesn't look like an international class defender. And I don't know what he was doing with that sin-binning; it looked like he wanted the yellow! Talk about giving the ref no choice...

Other than being fairly generous towards NZ for a few high shots, Sutton was generally very good, and got the big decisions right. As he usually does. Much rather him than one of our clowns.

You say nowhere near the quality of Oz and NZ but, we have just BEATEN NZ in a 3 test series or have you already forgotten the first 2 tests



The depth that he spoke about was more like a reference to the players that England were missing.
Widdop and Sam Burgess being significant absentees plus, Gale, Hall etc, etc and we still beat the Kiwis 2 -1

Utter nonsense to say we've no depth. We've been been hit really hard with injuries (especially in the play maker positions) yet won the series 2-1.

Bennett doesn't really do that. You want Shaun Wane for that.






Rubbish, we have plenty more strength in depth than NZ (and Tonga, etc), but obviously less than Australia.
