I derive no pleasure from the Bulls situation.
Hardly the supporters fault so I empathise.

| Quote ="Magic Superbeetle"The laughing is unnecessary, I think it's incredibly sad. However I do agree it's nothing more than a dummy spit. Having read the statement mark Moore published, I'm struggling to find sympathy. This has been on the cards since the events took place, it's not like it's a surprise to them (like he claims) - it's a I'm taking my ball home move.
Further, if his interest in the club extends only to super league, what would of happened had he taken over fully, and then been relegated without a points deduction?
My sympathies are with the Bradford fans, however this Moore guy has right royally irritated me with his comments!'"
They have every right to take their ball home. Its their money and it is crazy to think they should be happy throwing their time and money at RL regardless of how the RFL behave. It really is their choice.
Whether you sympathise or not, this is the end result of the actions taken.

It is their money. I'm not denying their right to refuse to buy a club. What is not their right is to call this:
Quote
"Due to the error made by the governing body, the players, staff and supporters have now been asked to suffer a six-point deduction along with heavy financial restrictions.
'"
This is not an error. It is the rules. They are not making them withdraw their money, they are.

| Let’s hope it’s a little brinksmanship by the perspective owners, it’s not like they’ve not tried it before.
What about the other guy, Lamb, I wonder if he’s still interested now he knows the enormity of the situation?

Think of it another way, the bulls owners think they can get through this season on half payments, they think they can thrive on full payments, they think they can stay up and are happy to risk their money.
Then this happens and they look at it and think we are definitely going down, the risk has just become much bigger, there are ‘special measure’ we will be put in because apparently we can’t be trusted, our income next year is almost certain to be down massively, our income this year is more than likely going to be down on our projections, our personal and professional reputations are being damaged by RFL actions.
Is there no chance that these changes would make you think again whether or not it is worth it?
btw The error they were actually accusing the RFL of wasnt the application of the penalty but that they allowed the stakeholders to leave a meeting the RFL closed without a signed agreement of what was discussed which was the cause of the disagreement between Omar Kahn and the new owners which was the cause of the administration.

| can't believe some of the hysteria on here
even if they do get relegated, with the parachute payments and increased payments to the top championship clubs they'll still be full time next year with a competitive enough squad to easily make the middle 8 and will probably be back in SL1 in a couple of seasons

| Oh dear, that statement almost makes it sound as if Bradford/Moore/whoever else is involved in this farce were banking on their good mates at Red Hall to do them yet another favour, but cos the RFL have had to be seen to be doing something this time they have spit the dummy out big time.....i hope to god the RFL don't go running after them to appease them.
Would it be better to relegate them now so they can start afresh rather than let this drag on for another 9/12 months ?

| Where does this leave the Bulls now? Still in admin I suppose.
Who will buy a club that are quite likely to be relegated and are still losing money hand over fist and relegation is only going to make that worse. Bad times

Again, I don't blame them for walking away (the manner of which it has happened has irked me but they can do as they wish)
You can say that this deduction made them rethink. But they knew it was a possibility already. It's like buying an old car, you know your probably going to have to repair it 300 times, but it's the risk you take. if they wanted to buy a club with no risk of points deduction, then don't buy from an administrators. It's as simple as that.
Also, the rfl haven't damaged your reputation. Bradford did that all by themselves. The rfl gave deemed that's given you've gone bust twice in as many years, extra limitations are needed to make sure it doesn't happen again. If you want them to trust you, stop going bust.
It's like Greece complaining about austerity measures when they got bailed out.

Exactly, thats not feasable.
Theres nothing to say Bradford wont get another 4 more points than Wakey over the next 25 games, its far from over for them.

| A very sad situation. I don't believe the penalty is correct but that's an irrelevance now.
The preferred bidders have not covered themselves in glory, but what does it say about the Administrator I wonder. Surely he should have found out their plans if a penalty was imposed?

| The directors should have used this to rally players and supporters, they have about a 22% chance of staying up as things stand, if they fall apart they are doomed.

| Here we go again. So, if the administrator is in charge again are we having the coaching staff made redundant again? So thats 10 or so people about to lose their jobs.
Have the RFL guaranteed players wages again?
If not, then the administrator will have to decide if the players can be paid. Worse case scenario, 25 full time players and 40 juniors will lose their jobs.
18months ago there was the back up plan of SL(europe) taking control of the club. Is that the RFL's agenda again?

| No problem with points deduction and disappointed twice left as thy must have known the points deduction was coming. Looking like my club could now be liquidated. What will happen to MM? Surely this just be scrapped if bulls liquidated.
Fell the statemet it sounds like the meeting the RFL chaired to get te deal down was very unprofessionally handles and admin could have been avoided.

good question i suppose, even without though the moneys still pretty good at the top of the championship next year and as long as the supporters stick by the club they'll be getting the highest gates in the championship.

But that’s what they done, they have decided not to buy the club because of the points deduction, they were willing to take the risk without the points deduction, not willing with it. They have some complaints about the process.
The new owners haven’t gone bust, they never did. Someone else did. The new owners aren’t willing to take that hit for someone elses actions.
The worst way to ensure the Bulls don’t go bust again is to reduce their TV money and pretty much guarantee them relegation.
I don’t see why the RFL shouldn’t take responsibility for making the Bulls so unattractive a proposition that someone willing to buy them no longer is and im not sure why that person owes it to the RFL to keep their unhappiness secret.
