What point are you trying to make chief? That, contrary to urban myth, you've actually won a SL game? icon_mrgreen.gif

Quote: The Phantom Horseman "Not sure where to begin with this but the brief Nahaboo era - which ended over 6 years ago - was the least convincing at Fev in the last 10 years and the club is in a much better place now.

The idea of Fev "suddenly becoming a real contender" is ridiculous when along with Leigh they have been clearly the standout team in the Championship over the last ten years.

On the field, Fev probably have the strongest case amongst the six teams, having beaten Leigh, York and Toulouse to reach the playoff Grand Final against Toronto last year. They've beaten Leigh four of the last five times they've played them, and hammered York three of the four times they played them last year.

Off the field Fev are now run on similar lines to a SL club, with a Chairman, CEO, Football Manager and Finance Manager. Sponsorship is thriving, as are sales from the new Super Store, and the club was able to report an operational surplus of over £40,000 for the year ending December 2019. For as long as Mark Campbell has been in charge his whole purpose has been to get Fev into SL so talking of Fev's ambitions in that regard having "collapsed" is baffling.'"

I think Fevs ambitions ceased at the Halliwell Jones that was outside not inside

Fev should have been "promoted" just as soon as SL decided that it wanted / needed 12 clubs for next season.
The current situation is ugly and will get much uglier, especially when clubs find out who has been given the "golden ticket".

With very little on field action last season in The Championship, the SL place should have automatically gone to Rovers.

A shocking and awful incident but over ten years ago. The only rugby league ground where I have ever been attacked was at Leigh, are you happy for me to rule them out too?

Warrington, Leeds and Hull KR would be out too, in fact, most teams in SL at some point!

All I’m going to say is good luck to Leigh with their application- I certainly enjoyed my past visits to their stadium.

A tragic incident indeed, but just as bad was that no one came forward to assist the enquiry.

Ten years ago, but the charge sheet has many entries over the intervening period, more than anyone else for sure and probably with the same persons involved.

One road in one road out that hole is not fit for SL status

Not really a golden ticket! It’s not a level playing field. So who has the money to waste? Who has the balls to spend?

Quote: SaleSlim "Like 2020, 2019, 2018 etc etc then according to the average SL fan then.
Don't get yer knickers in a twist pal, you coach has left to a poorer side and that alone should send the alarm bells ringing.

Read what I state again and Salford should be just fine but they won't be cracking any pots buddy. Ian Watson has done a wonderful Job. Richard Marshall is a good coach but as YOU have stated, books will need balancing.

Good luck next season
