No clues on the super league website, just their standard logo with no sponsors at the minute.

If there is no one stepping up to pay for it would it not make sense to give the sponsorship away to a charity? Like Barcalona and Unicef, the "Joining Jack Super League" perhaps. It would be worth a lot for the publicity, certainly more than giving it away to a truck company in Carlisle.
It would be worth doing to rebuild the market value of it. Let face if you are a company you are not going to pay a 6 figure sum for something that was free last year.

It's a fair point, but I'd personally be very concerned if we can't find someone willing to pay* for sponsorship of our league.

Fear not, there will be a sponsor, and it will be announced in January as always as part of the SL XVIII launch. I wouldn't be surprised if it was sorted months ago, they wouldn't have pulled out of the Stobart deal unless they had something lined up or were confident of being able to secure a deal.

I was told that privately the RFL quickly admitted the Stobart deal was a disaster, and the new Comms Director was quick to try and get out. I think officially it was by mutual consent. Stobart would have no reason to pull out, they were getting free advertising on Sky Sports etc. |
