Personally i think this is good news, and well done to all. Now, i might get some mix responses here,but i would like to see Ben Thaler officiating this one. My opinion of course.

Saints vs Wigan sales seem to be steady if not brilliant from the Saints end. I don't know what Wigan's sales are like, but assuming that they sell their allocation, I would estimate a crowd of somewhere between 15,000 and 16,000.

Will be interesting to see the attendance of Warrington vs Leeds. Was 1st Round last year too so better comparable than the other fixtures but it was on a Thursday rather than this years Saturday. Also Warrington are coming off the back of 2 final runner up spots rather than their 2017 middle 8’s spot so will reflect on how well or poorly their marketing is with whatever figure they get.

Does this clash with Leeds United V Norwich? May knock a few off the away contingent.

Does clash, but whatever away following could be effected by that you could argue that it being held on a Thursday night last year will negate that issue.

And as often the debate, shouldn’t be relying on away fans too much. Should be a bigger attendance just on the home team, on this occasion it’s Warrington.

Takes 2 to tango for a class crowd and atmosphere. Elland Road last year, for example.

The Elland Road game was a special occasion and not one you can realistically hold up as a good comparison (would be like comparing whatever figure Catalans get against Wigan at the Nou Camp this year) The crowd at Elland Road was also due to A LOT of effort Leeds put in to get that type of crowd.

Whilst I get your point that the away following would help, the figure Warrington get is pretty much down to them and how well they do to sell it to home fans.

LESS than 100 tickets for the popular Compendium Living East Stand left for Friday night.

These will sell out TODAY.

They need to market the game for sure but it's down to the clubs to market their own games not the rfl.

Hull KR are set for a new stadium record attendance when welcoming Hull FC to KCOM Craven Park on Friday.

The Super League opener is attracting unprecedented attention and Rovers and Hull are set to be played in front of a capacity crowd in front of the Sky cameras.

Saints reporting very limited tickets available tonight which are mostly single seats, they is a good chance they will all go before kick off.

Excellent news, hopefully Warrington and Leeds will get a late surge and we will have 3 games on sky TV played in front of a full house or nearly full.
