Spot on. We've had more naturally gifted players at Hull in the last decade, but none who've played as consistently well as Whiting over such a long period and in such a range of positions. The poster who said he only fits in when others are injured is totally missing the point. He'll be the first name on the teamsheet every week, but is often the player moved to cover injuries purely because he's so good at stepping into a position that isn't his own at a moment's notice.
