| Agreed, for rookie it has to be Escare. Young player of the year has a bit more competition

I will change the approach slightly.
Is it not easier to look good in a good team than a bad team?
PS you are not Phil Clarke are you? He watches rugby through a series of stats and even predicts result using a useless metre.'"
You could just as easily say that someone with above average skills will look outstanding in a poor team as he will score all their points where as an above average player in a good team will not be the best player and therefore may not shine quite as brightly.
Both are good, but Lineham has shown all attributes against good teams. He would get my vote between the two but following on from OP Escare is outstanding and may get the top vote anyway.

The "good team" around Lineham don't make his tackles for him.

| The defensive structures help. Or is every tackle a one on one front on tackle against your opposite number.
Ask Clarkey he will give you the stats
A bad team round Dixon wont score his tries for him.

But his defense is weak.
Lineham is better in every aspect other than probably passing for a child ticket when visiting Flamingo Land.

| Whilst Dixon has shown great finishing, he also shows weaknesses too. If he was playing for Hull, he;d be the player the opposition targeted the most.
Lineham is a beast.
Would Alex Walmsley qualify from my team? He won the championship young player of the year award last year for Batley. Does that count him out?

| does rookie of the year mean you have to make your 1st team debut in the current season? Lineham and Crooks both made their hull debuts last season

| I reckon Walmsley might get in the top 3, prominent in this his first year in the middle of the park where it is tougher.

It does in basketball. But I think here it is under a certain age.
