There are some lovely beaches along the West Coast of Scotland as well, you don't need to get jet lagged to see them. Why does everyone assume all British beaches are dirty and full of dog crap.

I don't deny that the beaches on the west coast of scotland are beautiful but lets be honest you aren't going to sit on them with your boardies on enjoying an ice cream are you? More suitable attire would be an all in one industrial thickness wet suit covered in 120 litres of goose fat Its colder than the Antarctic up there and the only reason the beaches up there are not covered with dog sh*it is that its too cold for normal dogs and there arent that many St bernards or Huskies up in Scotland
