Not really. Considering Mason didn't play for you last season it would be an unfair comparison and not like-for-like.

He was actually highlighting how many more fans turned up to see Mason (and the Mason-factor). When clubs make a big signing you usually expect a bigger increase on the previous game. In this case, it wasn't.

Damn! So the signing has been an utter failure. Never mind.

As usual our crowds are hit by poor away support. Credit to the 30-40 Crusaders fans who came, but I bet we took 900-1000 there in September. Always the same with both Hull clubs - we have outstanding travelling support but rarely get it back in return.

I am happy with the two home games so far, they have been against the two worst away supported teams in SL, when the weather is better and we get Cas, leeds, Wire, Wigan etc I am sure it will be over the 9k mark.

So we've increased our crowds 1000 up on the catalans gate and 1400 on the welsh gate from 2010. Well done Rovers

I know that your board where hoping for a 10k+ minimum and I was more then a little suprised at the final figure, given all the hype this week. Your last seasons average was 8,501 down 53 on 2009, you can do anything with figures of course and they prove jack really. As the weeks progress they should hold up if the results come in, but like us and they don't then they will fall ( also like ours)

maybe some of that 600 extra is the 18% your gates seem to be down.
Your board must be devistated what with the marquee signings of Obst and Phelps.

Home attendances are the sole responsibility of your club and its marketing department. Same for us.....our crap crowds are not the fault of the visiting team......they are our problem.

Have to say I don't see why you're upset? 1k up on both corresponding fixtures last year is excellent IMO

....about 14% up on last year......excellent performance and as has been said, as you climb the table and the sun comes out your gates will get bigger....
