I'm not. He was freakishly fast in his Widnes days. I have the video of that year's title decider (1989) and he skips past Mark preston (no slouch) without breaking a sweat to score at Naughton Park.

So, if Phil Ford could run the 100 metres in 11 seconds (reasonable) then Offiah could do it in 5.5 seconds?

Don't be silly.
Offiah ran it in sub 5 seconds.

| Gary Connolly on Joe Lydon at Old Trafford in the 1990 Challenge Cup Semi-Final. Lydon was flying down the wing and it looked a try all the way before Connolly came out of nowhere with a perfectly timed tackle that took Lydon into touch inches short of the line.

| Darren Brown on Michael Withers on Sky about 10 years ago at The Willows - Bulls won 52-1 (Offiah drop goal to give us a 1-0 lead) - Withers was away down the touchline and clear and from nowhere Brown (a backrow forward in the twilight of his career) came from behind Withers from the opposite side of the pitch to put him in touch at the cornerflag - all the more kudos to him with the fact Salford were getting absolutley smashed at the time too and the result of the tackle wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference to the outcome of the game - outstanding effort as Stevo would say!

| Kieron Cunninghams is one of the greatest tackles I've ever seen, seen it countless times on U Tube and it still amazes me every time.

| Anyone remember Stephen Kearney's super-human effort to prevent Wendall Sailor grounding the ball in the 2000 World Cup Final at Old Trafford?
Two tackles that stand out for me. A Hull FC import called Meaa David absolutely demolishing a young Jason Robinson at the Boulevard.
But, by far the biggest 'hit' I ever saw was by an absolute beast called Siose Mulimumu for Whitehaven on Hull KR's Richie Hayes during the early 90's.
Mulimumu was a monster, anyone know what happened to him.

The Gary Connolly one on Domic is on youtube under "top tackle" From the camera angle, it looks like he comes from nowhere.

Just watched it. And even back then Stevo’s commentary was as bad as it is now – instead of praising the great tackle he says of Domic ‘he’s bombed it, I have never seen anything as bad as that from an experienced player’ (as he didn’t pass to the inside man)
I wish we had commentators who talked up the game
