Although we took edging to 600 fans, which means there was less than 2,000 crusaders fans, which imo is very poor.

Oh yeah. The attendance at the Salford Game was so dire up north because the chester races were on at the same time. Now the chester races get around 25,000-30,000 people every year, and wrexham is not the biggest village in the world. Would of knocked off a minimum of 1000 fans, maybe even 1500-2000. Might go some way to describing why the fans were so low.
so from 2400 to 3400, and possibly could of been closer to 4000 without the races going on.

That amount of people attending a sporting event so close to the game was bound to have an effect.

Well done in that case you used your first posts to knock Crusaders (do keep up as the vast majority of Widnes fans have moved on), by the way have a look at the Gillette under 18 champions for last year (and who made the playoffs for this year but sadly pulled out) and the National Conference for the year before if you want to see how our youth and reserves did.
Yes the crowds are low and yes the club needs to put it's money where it's mouth is but come on it's not as though Widnes didn't encounter it's problems chasing the dream is it? |
