This.
Barrie's bad enough but Terry is just awful.

| Have they done it before? That segment was absolutely fantastic. Not sure how it would work if Huddersfield would have lost the game....? Is it more a boots an all feature rather than an after game feature..? Or maybe there is room for both?

| I normally turn my telly off immediately the final whistle blows (unless Wigan have got beat then I like to revel in the pleasure), but as I only caught the last 10 minutes of the game I wanted to catch the highlights. It was probably the best bit of rugby outside of a game I have seen in years.

| Wells offers some fantastic insight into the game, points out the little things that a viewer may miss. Bringing Brough up there to explain how & why we made some of the plays he made was a master stroke.
There are some great things about the SKY coverage, but some blummin awful ones too.

| i like the concept, i love jon wells, him and carney could be the future(carney needs to stop flubbing his lines though) not overly crazy at the amount of pawing at the screen that is going on though.

Same here. Sky+ it then tune in about 30 minutes later to see all the guff, half time waffle etc at X30 speed. Lineker and Co. get the same treatment on Match of the Day.

Unfortunately, I think it's in the job description to talk drivel.

| Absolutely brilliant section, particularly given most RL coverage in this country isn't exactly high grade analysis.

I think it would be worth doing it for both, just have someone from a non-tv game on the Boots and All section. If Huddersfield would have lost, I'd have assumed it would be Luke Walsh doing it maybe?

they said right at the beginning that broughy would be doing it, i imagine the focus would have shifted to what we did wrong rather than the things we did well?

| Wells is brilliant and exactly what I want from the coverage. I want to see how and why the tries were scored. Not some out of date claptrap from Stevo, or Eddie trying to sound like he knows what he's on about.
Carney' good too and is getting better all the time as a presenter.
Ideally I'd have Carney as presenter as well as bits with Wells.
Eddie or a new person as main commentator (but only match commentator, no presenting or analysis)
A guest (Kear/Noble etc) along with one of Wells, Carney or Clarke as 2nd & 3rd commentators. (But a max of 3 in total)
Then Wells & Carney doing the analysis.
I still think Eddie has a place if he's restricted to just commentating because I think he's pretty good at that, but Stevo, as much as I like him, he's had his time. And the sooner we can boot Stuart Cummings out of Rugby League entirely the better.

| Quote: Saint #1 "Absolutely brilliant section, particularly given most RL coverage in this country isn't exactly high grade analysis.'" Understatement. They have a commentator in O'Connor who literally doesn't know what he's talking about. He tried to claim tonight that Daryl Clark hasn't played well this season because Warrington "throw the ball about", until it was pointed out to him that they have made the least passes of any team in the league. The fact that we have thoughtful and intelligent analysts sitting around doing nothing while a glorified fan like this is on commentary week after week is an insult to the viewers. McDermott is no better either.

Even if you had lost, I'd have imagined there would still have been some successful plays put on by Brough which they could have looked at. If it was a major capitulation, probably what went wrong yeah, but there's always gonna be stuff to talk about for a halfback, whether good or bad.

yeah true, but it would have been good to get a perspective from a losing player ( although not wishing that we lost )
