It looked particularly poor when they did the wide shot of the Video Screen - that whole area looked very thinly spread

with a half empty wembley on display its a good job the BBC havent bothered promoting the game and have limited the coverage as much as they have. Would anyone be bothered if the CC disappeared out of the RL calendar or became a replacement for the Northern rail cup for the lower leagues. When it was played early in the year it was a pre season warm up and nothing more. Now its stuck inconguously in the build up to the play offs and the GF it isnt just an anachronism its a distraction from the real competition.

The number of empty seats is embarrassing, it has to be said.

The only people who care about a few empty seats are RL fans - they're obsessed with attendances.

i would rather watch hudds play in a half empty wembley than watch wigan - saints at a full wembley... but i am biased

Id sooner watch Hull at a near full Wembley than Hudds in a half full one.....oh hang on i have done.

Time to go back to the Millenium Stadium? Its a european comp so why should the final be in england.

If true, then that's disgraceful - what with it being more than the capacity of the Millenium Stadium or Murrayfield.

Can't be done, the RFL have a long term contract with Wembley Stadium Ltd, 30 years or so.

Stop moaning. It was fine- there were a few empty seats at the bottom, quite a few on the top deck and the middle deck was reserved for Club Wembley holders, who are all football fans. Still a lot of people there.

Who cares what the attendance was, it was a great final!

Difference between "near full" and "half full" was about 5000. Either get to Specsavers or remedial maths lessons.
