Therefore, I think my judgement counts a little bit more. He goes off the field and there's a visible difference. He returns and the team sparks into life, feeding off of his runs through the middle. He lifts the side.

Well you point out to me where anything has been done about Peacocks foul mouthed tirade aimed at the official in which he also used a word which a Gay official might find very insulting. It was live on TV, all over Twitter and Facebook yet nothing has been done about it even though it's at least as bad as Hardakers transgression.

You are right, i can't find any evidence of punishing 2003 MOS, former England and GB captain, winner of 8 SL titles, 4 WCC, and 2 CCs Jamie Peacock MBE being punished for homophobic abuse which only exists in your head. Similarly i cant find any evidence of Richard Agar being punished for a homophobic incident which only exists in your head.
Frankly, im struggling to find evidence that anything exists in your head.

Just like you cant go back and make the RFL punish Richard Agar for a homophobic insult nobody else in the world knew of, you cant go back 11 years to 2003 when Jamie Peacock prove demonstrably, unequivocally, unarguably, he was worthy of winning the Man of Steel award, by winning the the Man of Steel award.

| Quote ="SmokeyTA"Erm, in what way was it viewed as a homophobic insult. There is nothing within that that mentions the word 'bent' he wasnt suspended, he was fined. He wasnt charged with making a homophobic insult, he was charged with the offence he was punished for which was nothing to do with a homophobic insult.
So what we are apparently supposed to believe is that Richard Agar said, in an interview, James Child's performance was 100% the reason Hull lost, that his performance was "just disgraceful" and "completely ruining the game as a spectacle", but he also in the same interview said that Child was 'bent'. The RFL then secretly investigated him for for calling him 'bent', secretly punished him for it, whilst publicly investigating him for saying Childs performance was 100% the reason Hull lost, that his performance was "just disgraceful" and "completely ruining the game as a spectacle" and publicly punishing him for it, his punishment being in line with those levied against coaches for similar outbursts. But nobody at any stage reported the Agar calling Child 'Bent', nobody reported the RFL investigating it, nobody reported the RFL charging him for it, and nobody reported him being punished for it.
And it's JP's outbust being brushed under the carpet?'"
I realise that you win most arguments by default, largely due to attrition, and I'm not up for a long-winded quote-fest, but you've rather missed the point. There is no suggestion that RA called JC 'bent' in the press conference - he told me that he'd used the word during a post-match confrontation with JC in the tunnel and that JC included it in his match report, hence the severity of the punishment, which I believe was a record at the time.
It makes little difference now and FWIW, I don't see that it has any bearing on who wins MoS, but it's worthy of comment.

I suggest you go back and watch the video again, Peacocks foul and abusive attack on the referee is there to see so not exactly just in my head is it. You're obviously in the grip of some kind of man crush where Peacocks concerned!
Listing all the achievements he's amassed in his great career doesn't change the fact that this season he's ruined his record and blotted his character by verbally abusing a gay match official and rather stupidly using a word which is offensive to the Gay community. For that reason he's not fit to win it thus year or any other year hereafter.
Did he verbally abuse James Child during the match against Warrington and did he use the word bent?
Simple yes or no will suffice and then we'll know where we are.

Yet it wasnt mentioned by any one at any time? With all releases and comments on sticking strictly to the press conference, nobody at all mentioning the referee's report nevermind what Agar is alleged to have said?
Agar's fine was not much more than Morgan's mentioned in the article.
I ask, what would be the point of the RFL punishing Agar for that, then keeping it secret and pretending they were punishing him for something else?

The simple answer is no, not according to James Child. Who didnt mention any homophobic insult in his report from JP, though he did from Hardaker.
Or perhaps he did but only in the secret way he did with Agar? Nobody knows what happens James Child secret RFL homophobia court.
You are the only person who seems to have decided he meant a homophobic slur, rather than the far more common use of 'bent' as a synonym for 'dodgy', in fact its use as a homophobic insult is so rare these days, it doesnt even appear in the oxford dictionary (unlike of course the meaning we all knew JP meant)
Either way, its good to see JP getting the Wakefield fans all annoyed. Why dont you get a petition going? Surely you guys need a new thing to get under your skin now you cant

Except you didn't just say no, you came out with a load of guesswork about what Child and Peacock might have thought.
So you're ignoring the evidence of your own eyes when watching the video and hiding behind what you think might have or have not been in the refs report.
Thanks

| Based in what I've seen Peacock, Clarke and Walsh are good bets SO FAR.
SOL at Wigan will probably be in the top 3 come the end regardless of how many games he plays.
As a Giants fan if I had to put one of my teams players in I would probably go with Joe Wardle. He's troubled a few teams this year in attack and defence.

I've been pretty consistent throughout.
My point is that this year Jamie Peacock is behind a couple of other players on performance.
Also, in my opinion, he has ruled himself out of being worthy of receiving the award (this year) because of his foulmouthed tirade at a match official which was caught on video and seen live on national television. Added to that the unedifying sight of a 36-year-old ex Great Britain captain raining punches on a man half his size and half his age.
For holding that opinion I have since been plagued by the usual suspects from the Leeds mob who just won't hear anything negative said about one of the Rhinos players.

Clark looks likely for YPOY if he carries on as he is. Hardaker would have been up there if not for his moment of idiocy as he has had a storming start to the year.
S'OL has been great as well but you can't win MoS playing half a season in my opinion. Needs to be on the field more
